What’s the difference between weather and climate?

While weather reflects short-term conditions of the atmosphere, climate is the average daily weather for an extended period of time at a certain location. Weather can change from minute-to-minute, hour-to-hour, day-to-day, and season-to-season. However, climate is calculated over longer time spans such as centuries. Therefore, for the layman, it is difficult to observe changes in mean climate as they’re gradual. It’s noteworthy that while climate predictions (specially temperature) are usually very accurate, weather predictions are not always as accurate (specially weather predictions longer than two weeks cannot be trusted).
